Singing on Stage:  Date:  Sept 11 - Oct. 16 (Ages 14-22) Saturdays 12:30-3:30 pm. 

This course is for actors, singers, dancers—anyone who will be singing on stage. This course covers various techniques for fusing the art of acting and singing together. More than just learning how to perform a song, topics covered include categories of songs, choice of material, analysis of a lyric, the audition and much more. Required reading: “On Singing On Stage,” by David Craig. Textbook and pianist included in course fee. Course culminates in a live vocal performance of the audition material prepared during this course. Performance will be held during the last session. Instructor: Dawn Harkins

Audition Technique for Musical Theatre:  Date:  Sept 11 - Oct 16  (Ages 11-14) Saturdays 9:30-11:30 am.

This course is for actors, singers, dancers — anyone who will be auditioning for the musical theatre. Learn to control those 60 seconds of audition time and use them to your best advantage! This course covers choosing the right audition material, how to handle the accompanist, what to wear to auditions, how to handle stage fright and much more. Required reading: “Auditioning for the Musical Theatre”, by Fred Silver. Textbook cost included in course fee. Course culminates in a live vocal performance of the audition material prepared during this course. Performance will be held during the last session. Instructor: Dawn Harkins

Skills for the young actor

Students ages 8-10

This class is for young students who want to learn the fundamentals of acting including character development, marking your script, using space, stage movement, speech and auditioning.  Learn or improve on basic skills all actors must know and have fun as you become better prepared for your future roles.  Taught by Steven Sledzinski and Jeanne O'Donnell.

performs 2 spectacular shows a year.  In the summer, our high-school and older youth  perform a grand production, second to none and in the winter we give our Younger kids a chance to take the limelight, although equally grand usually a "junior" version of the show.
