As a non-profit organization dedicated to providing youth musical theater experiences, Rising Star Theatre relies on the support of our community to continue our mission. We are reaching out to you today to ask for your support in helping us purchase necessary equipment like microphones and rent venues, as well as costumes and set supplies and licensing fees to perform the show.

As a non-profit organization,  we want to be transparent with our potential sponsors about the specific costs of equipment, rental of venues, costumes, and set needs, so they have a clear understanding of where their donations will be going. Please check out our list below of needs, and consider making a donation to help us continue our mission.

If donating online, both payment options incur fees and take a portion of the donation.  If you would like to send a donation please contact us.  We can also pick up local donations and set that up with you as well.

Expenses 

Costs for one show recurring:

  • Licensing for one show:  Approximately $1,500-$2,500

  • Venue Rental: Varies but the general cost seems to be a minimum/average of $3k-$5k

  • Costuming: Minimal in the beginning hoping to borrow a lot but average is $1k

  • Sets: $2k-3k

  • Videography: $600

  • Photography: $1000

  • Programs Printing:  $600


 

Equipment Needed for all performances one time cost:

  • Wireless Mics for performances: (Shure - PGA31 Wireless Headset Microphone System - Band H10 (542-572 MHz) $349 each need 12 minimum(16 would be ideal) = $4,188

  • Soundcraft - 16 Channel Mixing Console $779

  • Hosa XLR-802 - 6.6' 8-Channel XLR Audio Snake to connect

  • General Labor and Programming $80

  • Short Throw Projector $7,000(approximately)

 

Additional costs:

Web Hosting:  $27 monthly on average; $200-300 yearly

 

Liability Insurance $500-600

 

Domain Yearly Fee: $20 yearly

 

Things our program is doing: workshops, working concessions at events, passing out flyers, youth council giving presentations.
